Dr Geoff Scott MD, FRCP, FRCPath, DTM&H (Trustee 2002, Chairman 2004-)Geoff Scott
Formerly Consultant Microbiologist at University College London Hospitals. He trained at the Royal Free Hospital, School of Medicine, qualifying in 1972. He has developed interests in many fields of infection ranging from the early development of interferon to the development of antimicrobial resistance. He works with the haematologists in the management of susceptible leukaemic patients.

John Wood Collins (2013-)

John wood collinsJohn joins the board from April 2013, is an economist who has spent all his working life in the oil and gas industry
After graduation from the LSE John joined BP and worked in the UK and N. America. After a spell in investment analysis he joined the US consulting firm Arthur D Little and worked in Europe and N Africa. In 1995 he set up his own firm to provide consultancy services on a range of commercial issues.
He now primarily works as an expert witness in dispute resolution and international arbitration in the global gas industry. 

Phillip Oxnam (Trustee 1994-)
Philip Oxnam Financial consultant and investment advisor for GS Management S.A. based in Geneva.  He is a graduate of the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania and holds a B.A. in management and marketing from Webster University, Geneva.

Dr Caroline Pankhurst BSc PhD BDS MSC MRCPath (Specialist in Oral Microbiology. Trustee 2009-)

Caroline pankhurst
Caroline is a dentist and wasa Clinical Senior Lecturer in Oral Microbiology at King’s College London Dental Institute. Now she is actively involved in postgraduate dental education and training in dental microbiology and oral medicine.  She contributes the chapter “Treatment of oropharyngeal candidiasis” to BMJ Clinical Evidence. 

Peter J Folkman (Trustee 2012-) is a venture capitalist.

Peter FolkmanAfter graduating from Oxford University he went to study in the USA for an MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. From there he worked for two American high tech companies before joining the venture capital group 3i plc. He left 3i in 1989 to set up his own venture capital company, North of England Ventures. He was a member of the Council of the British Venture Capital Association. Until the establishment of the new university, Mr Folkman served on the Council of the Victoria University of Manchester and was Chair of The Manchester Federal School of Business and Management. He has held a number of non-executive positions including Chair of the Manchester Science Parks, the Partnership Board of NOWGEN, a centre for genetics in healthcare and was a Non Executive Director of the University Hospital of South Manchester.
