Steph Smith Award Winners

Steph Smith

              Steph Smith

Steph Smith died in 2009 from complications due to inhaling Aspergillus spores.

Steph was an extraordinary young woman who affected the lives of many and had trained to become a primary school teacher at the University of Aberdeen. Her University decided to honour her memory by inaugurating the Steph Smith Award for Professional Values & Personal Commitment and it has been awarded once per year to an outstanding BEd student or students ever since.

Steph’s family & friends have raised tens of thousands of pounds for the Fungal Infection Trust since 2010 in her memory for which we are very grateful and we are very happy to acknowledge their work here.
